OB35 Creek Diversion, TSF1 Wall Raise & TSF3 Buttress

Working with one of our key clients on a multi-discipline project:

  • Replacement of approximately 920m HDPE tailing delivery pipeline, including completing works during a shutdown.
  • Installation of motor, pump, and valves.
  • Removal and replacement of 1600m Victaulic Tailings Deposition pipe.
  • Removal and replacement of 800m HDPE Decant return pipe.
  • Electrical infrastructure, including power poles, installation of communication, CCTV, instrumentation, and control items.
  • TSF3 Buttress Wall: Including removal of vegetation, construction of buttress wall, and saddle dam using 400,000m³ of approved fill material from OSA.

Due to the constraint of the available Workfront in the three different areas, contractors were required to work concurrently on the different packages and to complete specific SMP works during the shutdown period.

The work was awarded to Carey based on the previous successful completion of similar bulk earthworks packages, building on strong safety performance, and the capability of the Carey Management team.
