Environment

Connection to country is an integral foundation in Carey’s journey since our inception in 1995.

As we continue to build our capabilities and service offerings across Australia and First Nation communities globally, we do so with a firm commitment to carbon neutrality and are actively pursuing our net zero transition pathway.

We are constantly at the cutting edge of research and development in respect to our approach to environmental policy implementation.

Carey is currently collaborating with CRC TiME (The Cooperative Research Centre for Transformations in Mining Economies) researching ways in which rehabilitation technologies can drive sustainable post-mine economics for Traditional Owner groups and communities across Western Australia. CRC TiME brings together over 70 leading mining and mining service companies, regional development organisations, State and Commonwealth governments and research partners.

Our team is committed to the following initiatives:

CO2 Net Zero

Conversion to low emissions vehicles

Rehabilitation and closures with environment-first perspective

Partnering with research organisations
