Project Overview:

As the major healthcare provider and hospital in the Peel region, Peel Health Campus in Mandurah was experiencing a shortage of space within their existing complex. To accommodate growth, additional office space and storage facilities were required. CareyMC was awarded the contract to create the necessary additional space through the manufacture and installation of transportable buildings.

Scope of Works:

  • Office Space:
    • Creation of eight new office spaces for staff using two 12 x 3.5m transportable units.
  • Universal Access Toilets:
    • Supply and installation of two new universal access toilets housed within a single 6 x 3m complex.
  • Storage Facilities:
    • Construction of a 6 x 3m storeroom unit for additional storage space.
  • Fabrication:
    • Fabrication of transportable units according to the client’s design specifications.
  • Site Preparation:
    • Site preparation, including levelling and compacting.
    • Forming and pouring a concrete path.
  • Service Installation:
    • Pre-laying electrical and hydraulic services.
    • Connecting to services, including commissioning hot water systems and air conditioning.

Project Execution:

CareyMC expedited the fabrication and mobilisation processes, ensuring a quick turnaround and installation of the units. The team effectively addressed several site-level issues, adjusting design levels to minimize the need for additional fill at the site. The project was completed in a professional manner, within the agreed timeframe, and with minimal interruption to the client’s operations.
